Green Bean Guillotine: Day 2

As you can see by the renamed post title, Soy to the World has been taking a toll on me.  I've been pretty serious about this, check out my food today:

Breakfast: Leftovers
Lunch: Edamame w/ginger dressing
Snack: dry roasted edamame (excellent)
Dinner: edamame with some light sour cream

I hate to do this, but I'm going to revise my 10,000 download challenge.  I will continue to eat edamame at every meal, but it will no longer be the primary ingredient.  It's too extreme to eat one food continuously, regardless of how amazing it is.

How it will go: edamame omelette for breakfast tomorrow, sushi roll and edamame on side for lunch, and a nice chicken breast and edamame salad for dinner.  Edamame included with every meal, but still some variation so I don't go crazy.

ET Review: DefaultPrime.com

"It’s so simple, but so elegant..."

Couldn't have said it better.  Really, I couldn't.  Had to look up the word "simple."
Awesome review of our app on DefaultPrime.com.  Thanks Keenan!

Soy to the World: Mid-day update

It's been less than 24 hours and my hypochondria of soy-related ailments is already kicking in.  We had 10 sales last night (much appreciated, yet not as high as my lofty expectations).  I'm realizing that it could be another 1000 days before I reach 10,000.

We'll see how this goes.  If I start to notice any negative health signs anytime soon I'll probably diversify my diet a bit, or maybe lower my target to 1000 copies (or maybe 50).

Anyways -- thanks to everyone blogging, tweeting, and facebooking about the app.  I appreciate your support! ^_^

Soy to the World: Day 1

Today I began my all-edamame diet.  Right now, all dishes I eat will consist only of soy beans, besides some additional flavoring and condiments.  This may get pretty extreme after a while, so we'll see if I can keep it up.

For my first meal, I thawed up a bag of edamame, and tossed it in a pan with some olive oil, salt and pepper.

Zed: Edwards. Let's put it on. Edwards: Put what on? Zed: The last suit you'll ever wear.

I also added some a little bit of garlic and shallots (sounded fancy).  Anyways, it was not bad.  Plenty left for lunch tomorrow too.

ET is here + SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

No exponent of OMG can express how excited I am because Edamame Touch is finally approved and ready for sale in the iTunes App Store!

Here is a link for all your linking pleasure.

I hinted in the last posted about a special announcement and reasoning for the stockpile of edamame in my freezer.  Well, hold on to your butts, cause here it is:  I've decided to eat only edamame until I sell 10,000 copies of ET.  I have no idea if this will take me 1 day or 1 week, but I've consulted my doctor and was given a reluctant OK to try it out.

I will keep you guys posted throughout my mono-culinary journey.  If you have creative recipes, send them over and I'll be sure to try them out and feature them on the website. Frequent health updates and video messages will follow in the coming days.

Thanks for all your support!

ET is almost here!

App Status Update: We've submitted ET to Apple, and the current status is "In Review." The approval process has taken us about a week with our previous apps, so if there are no changes we should see a release next week. Stay tuned for the launch countdown.

Howdy!

My name is Jay and I'm the creator of Edamame Touch: an edamame simulator for the iPhone and iPod Touch that is nothing short of brain-explosionary.

Hyperbole aside, I found that nothing makes a better blog than shameless self promotion and crazy videos. I hope to do both and share my adventures with you, the target consumer my friends.

Anyways, welcome to EdamameTouch.com!
